Brikama female team on Sunday 1 December 2013 defeated Brufut female team 2-0 in the opening game of the first-ever female SuperNawettan zonal football tournament played at Brikama Mini Stadium at 3pm.
Brikama, who were the better side throughout the game, launched several goal-scoring opportunities, and their efforts paid dividend in the 4th minute of the game when striker Meita Sanneh netted the opener from a stunning strike to give her side the lead.
Moments later Brikama found themselves 2-0 ahead when striker Meita Sanneh again notched in the second goal in the 15th minute of the game to seal the victory for the Sateba girls and also complete her brace.
Brikama are leading group A with maximum 3 points in one game, while Brufut are struggling at the bottom of group A with zero point in one outing and need to win their remaining games to keep their chances of qualifying for the semi-final.
