Darboe Enterprise, suppliers of provisional goods, building materials, overseas shipping and telecommunication, over the weekend donated school furniture to Bun Jeng Islamic School in Gunjur, Kombo South.
The donation, held at the school ground, is part of their contribution towards the development and promotion of Islamic education in the country.
Speaking to this reporter shortly after the presentation, the Manager of Darboe Enterprise, Omar N. Darboe, said that investment in youths is significant in the development of any country. He expressed his desire to always contribute to the development and promotion of Islam.
He also expressed his willingness to support the school when the need arises. He urged the beneficiaries to make the best use of the donated items, noting that he will continue to render more assistance to the school in the near future.
For his part, the Principal of Bun Jeng Islamic School, Sidat Hydara, applauded Darboe Enterprise for the benevolent, noting that the donated items would go a long way towards alleviating furniture problem in the school.
He assured the donors that the donated items would be properly put to good use.
