Preparations are underway as a group of young talented artistes called Black Acoustic is busy putting finishing touches to release its debut album expected to hit the market in grand style.
Speaking to ThePointEntertainment at the weekend, members of the group said they are fully preparing to release the album, adding that their first single entitled ‘Gambian People’ has been released and is presently on air being played at various radio stations across the country.
Since the formation of the group in 2008, Black Acoustic members have embarked on a countrywide tour to promote their music.
The group, comprising Ismaila Samba, Alhagie Jahe Tunkara and Alhagie Gum Manneh, has been playing at various hotel venues across the country as well as at President Jammeh’s events.
The Gambian talented artistes, who have also travelled to Senegal, Burkina Faso and Ghana to promote their music, say they play afro-Manding sounds, which is one of Africa’s traditional music.
