B.B. Rovers FC beat Stockholm 11 FC at East

On Saturday B.B. Rovers FC defeated Stockholm 11 FC 2-0 in the Serrekunda East Sports Development Organisation Nawetaan at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium.

The keenly and well-contested encounter attracted a large crowd of supporters from Serrekunda East and environs as both teams put up a brilliant performance in the opening minutes of the game, but could not break the deadlock, thus the first period ended 0-0.

B.B. Rovers FC who wanted to avoid relegation came all out for a goal, and opened the scoreline through Yaya Jatta in the 48th minute of the game from a brilliant finisher.

Stockholm 11 FC also fought back and created some scoring opportunities, but failed to capitalise on them. The Rovers FC sealed the victory through striker Mamadi Damdelly in the 76th minute of the game after capitalising on Fanding Camara's sensible cross from the right side of the field.

Earlier on the same day, in the 3pm kick off, Ball Conge FC beat Culture FC by a goal to nil. Ebrima Sanneh scored the only goal of the game for Ball Conge FC in the first minute of the game.

Ball Conge FC now bagged nine points in five games while Culture FC collected ten points in five encounters.

On Friday, at the Serrekunda Central Youth and Sports Committee Nawetaan, Ann FC defeated Dongon Bi FC by a goal to nil at the Serrekunda Central football field better known as "mboyo" field in Bakoteh in the 3pm encounter.

Lamin Fofana scored the only goal of the game for Ann FC that separated the two sides in the 11th minute of the game to give his side all three points.

In the 5pm kick off, on the same day, Hard Knocks FC beat Catania FC by the same scoreline.

Elsewhere on Saturday, at the Biri-Biri football field in Ndofan village, Lower Niumi District, North Bank Region, Kerr Wally FC trash Chamen FC by 3-1. Omar Camara scored Chamen FC's goal in the 11th minute of the game while Tipe Drammeh cancelled his goal before Wugoh Senghore scored a brace for Kerr Wally FC to make it 3-1. Kerr Wally FC were reduced to ten men in the dying minutes of the game, when Pa Seedy Darboe was sent off.

Mbollet Ba FC defeated Kerr Mbugma FC by 4-1 on Friday.  Alieu Corr, Musa Njie and Samba Kah scored Mbollet Ba FC's goals while Alla Secka scored Kerr Mbugma FC's consolation goal.

Omar Sowe of Kerr Mbugma FC was sent off in dying minutes of the game.

The tournament, which was organised by Ndofan Sports Committee, was sponsored by Kora Sour and named after Kebba Sarr.
