The sports materials included 18 sets of jerseys, two footballs and 30 T-shirts for the team’s fans club. The presentation was held at the Bayba office on Kairaba Avenue.
Speaking at the ceremony, the MD of Bayba, Momodou Lamin Bojang, thanked the team management for giving him the opportunity to fulfill his social responsibility.
Bayba, being owned by Trust Bank, is intended to serve the society, he said, adding that barely a year ago they have made such a gesture in helping the youths in sport.
“As time goes on we will not allow any youth activity to die because of financial constraints and this will not be limited to Universal Academy; we will make sure that there is no financial constraints,” Bojang said.
“Before we make any income, we started giving out to the society and we are assuring Universal Academy that this is just the beginning,” he added.
Bojang urged the public to give their support to Bayba.
Pa Momodou Faal, team manager, and Yusupha Sanyang, head coach, all thanked Bayba for the good gesture.
Bayba’s Babucarr Joof also spoke on the occasion.
