Banjul United FC and Flamemins FC are all through to the 2009-10 Gambia Football Association (GFA) Second Division League after finishing first and second spot, respectively in the just ended Gambia Football Association (GFA) Third Division Triangular Tournament over the weekend.
Banjul United FC thrashed Farato Academy FC 3-1 in the opening game of the triangular tournament and drew 0-0 with Flamemins in their final game. They top the table with 4 points from two games, while Flamemins FC finished second spot after defeating Farato Academy FC and went on to draw 0-0 with Banjul United in their final game over the weekend. Flamemins also bagged 4 points from two games, while Farato Academy FC lies at the bottom of the table with zero point from two games.
Banjul United FC and Flamemins FC will now join the eight remaining teams to make it ten teams. The GFA Second Division League is expected to kick-off any moment from now.
