The weekend was hot on the Saints Augustine and Gambia High School Football ground as the Banjul Nawettan knock-out kicked-off.
Twenty-four teams have laced their boots to be this year's champions, in which four will make it to the Nawettan tournament, scheduled for next month.
A very unfortunate incident happened on Saturday when the exited fans of Hannover FC, after conceding two goals against Keur Gui FC, attacked the referee who was later saved by the neighbours because the police were not around and the committee was forced to postpone the second mach, Haddinton vs Mam Badou FC. Six matches have so far been played.
Ajax defeated Allen Street 3-1, while Boutique Bi at the same time at Gambia High was also beaten 1-0 by Gloucester Utd.
