Foday Badjan registered the only goal of the game in the first minute of the second half to earn his side the points needed.
Earlier on Friday, Jobe Kunda FC beat Liberty FC by 2-1 at the Kotu Quarry field.
Balontin head coach Alieu Manga, speaking to this reporter shortly after the game, thanked his team for the victory, adding that they always participate in the tournament and all teams know them for playing beautiful football.
They had a late preparation, and mobilizing his players was also difficult as they did not even have a complete squad coming into the game.
The pressure was on them during the second half as the wind was affecting them, and for this reason he told his players to relax in their own half and depend on counter attacks, since they already had a goal.
