Bajana Marathon to train 5 athletes in Ethiopia

The Bajana Marathon organised by the Gambia Volunteers Trust which aims at giving athletes the support and exposure they require to perform better and represent the nation in competitions, both nationally and internationally, has announced that under the sponsorship of President YahyaJammeh it has chosen five athletes this year to attend a year’s training session at Ethiopia’s High Altitude Training Camp in Addis Abba.

Meanwhile, the organisers of the marathon have also announced that the 3rd edition of its international marathon will take place on 4th April 2015 at Bajana village in Foni Berefet District.

The media release also said this year’s event will feature a 10km and 5km run from Foni Besse to Bajana for male and female athletes respectively.

There will also be a junior race for children aged 10 and below, added the release, which went on to further announce that a 5km race for companies and institutions will also take place on the day.
