B Touray, who is also known by his stage name Badibunka, has finally released
his most anticipated “Advice to President Barrow” song.
Badibunka, who is a leading Afromanding
artiste in The Gambia and has thousands of fans across The Gambia and beyond,
said he recorded the song since Barrow was declared the winner, but was waiting
for the right time to release it.
He
told Standards Entertainment that he did not record the song to praise sing
Barrow, but released the song to add his voice to advice President Barrow as to
what is expected of him.
“It’s
important as an artiste I record a song to talk on behalf of the youths and
fans, as to what we expect from President Barrow. I watched and listened to
most of his interviews and, as at now, we must say that we are very impressed.
“How
he should maintain his positive relationship with his fellow Gambians, and how
we expect him to govern us, is what is explained in the song.
“I’m
trying to deliver the CD to him through his press secretary for him to take 5
minutes of his time and listen to the song.”
