Brikama Area Council (BAC) recently presented personnel protective gears worth D183,325 to health laborers of the council’s Environmental Health and Sanitation Unit.
The personnel protective gears included face masks, gloves, 115 pairs of raincoats and boots.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony held at the council’s grounds in Brikama, the chief executive officer of BAC, Mam Jallow, said the council is committed to the protection and welfare of its health laborers.
He said the provision of protective gear is one of the key priorities of BAC in the drive to safeguard the welfare and health conditions of the laborers.
CEO Jallow called on the laborers to ensure the gears are maximally utilised to ensure their safety and well being.
Lamin Luwang Conteh, senior supervisor of the Environmental Health and Sanitation Unit, said the items will boost the morale of his personnel.
