Kiang West becomes the newest team to secure top spot in the Gambia Football
Federation (GFF) Second Division League table standing after defeating Academy
boys, Samger 2-1 in their week-six fixtures game played at the Brikama Box-Ba
Mini-stadium on Wednesday.
The
LRR boys are making their second appearance in the GFF league, leapfrogged PSV
Wellingara who were leading the table after defeating Gunjur United 2-1 in the
week-six fixtures.

Kiang came into the season with the intention of introducing themselves to
their opponents and taking any chances created, while Samger FC with the
guidance of coach Sulayman Kuyateh are struggling during the start of the
league season as they occupy 10th position with 7 points.

East Bi drew goalless with Brikama-based team, Bombada FC in an encounter
played at the Serekunda East Park on Wednesday.
The
East boys, who started their league matches late due to ownership issue,
collected 4 points in three matches occupying 13th position with three
game-in-hands, while Bombada FC, who were relegated from the First Division two
seasons ago, are 3rd position in the league with 11 points after six matches.

Rhino also came from behind to beat Young Africans 3-2 in a game played at the
Banjul KG5 Mini-stadium on Wednesday.
The
win has improved Team Rhino’s position in the league to 9th position with 7
points, while Banjul-based team, Young Africans sits on 6th position with 10
points.
