The assault case involving Modou Mbenga, Lamin Sanneh, Gibril King, and Omar Jammeh continued recently at the Special Criminal Court in Banjul before Justice Emmanuel Nkea.

It continued with the evidence of the sixth prosecution witness (PW6), Bakary Krubally, a police officer attached to the Serrekunda CIU.

Officer Krubally told the court he lives in New Yundum, and he is a police officer, adding that he knew the accused persons as well as the complainant.

He added that he was assigned to take the fingerprint of the accused persons, which he did, while the accused persons were being detained at the Kotu Police Station.

Officer Krubally stated further that after taking their fingerprint, he took them to the police headquarters for analysis and after the analysis, he detected that two among the four were ex-convicts.

Asked if he sees the said analysis report he would be able to recognize it, he replied in the affirmative, saying it is recognised by the stamp and signature.

The state counsel therefore applied to tender the said analytical report as an exhibit, which was later admitted and marked as exhibit without any objection.

The case continues today.
