Assailant convicted

Magistrate Bojang of the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court recently convicted and sentenced one Arthur Foster to a fine of D800, in default to serve two months in prison.

Arthur Foster admitted to a charge of common assault.

The charge sheet stated that on 3 October 2014, at Kotu in the Kanifing Municipality, he unlawfully assaulted one Joseph Chary by beating him with a leather whip.
