ASP police officer testifies in court

ASP Fakebba Darboe, Police Officer attached to Banjulinding Station recently testified in the trial of Karafa Sanneh, former Manager of Sifoe Farm who is charged with given false information to a public officer.

Testifying before Principal Magistrates' J.A. Effirm of the Brikama Magistrates' Court, ASP Fakebba Darboe told the court that he could remember sometime in November 2009, when he received an instruction from the Inspector General of Police to investigate a case of giving false information to a public officer, involving the accused, Karafa Sanneh.

He said after receiving this information he went with his investigating team to Seyone Village and upon arrival there, the team interacted with the witnesses before he proceeded to arrest the accused.

ASP Fakebba Darboe further testified that he interrogated the accused, but he denied the allegation. He said the accused was later confronted with the witnesses who maintained that he had given false information, but (accused) still denied.

The case continues.
