Arrested Gambian Diplomat Now at Mile 2

Information reaching this paper has it that Lamin B Sanyang alias Sabi, the Financial Attaché at the Gambian Embassy in the United States of America, who was reportedly arrested earlier this month shortly after arriving in the country has now been moved from detention at the police headquarters in Banjul to Mile 2 Prison.

Our sources could not however reveal the reason(s) for Mr. Sanyang's arrest, but have indicated that he was facing a panel of investigators at the National Intelligence Agency (NIA). The sources added that Mr. Sanyang is yet to be charged.
