Armed Forces quest for the First Division League title was stalled momentarily following a 1-1draw by the Western Region giant Brikama United in the 14th encounter played at the Brikama Mini Stadium on Saturday.

Ebou Cole Brikama United hit the net of his opponent in the 3rd minute after a silky move through Armed Forces defence to give his team the lead. Armed Forces swiftly made a remarkable comeback to level the scores in the 13th minute through Midfielder Buba Sama.

As play resumed in the second half, Armed Forces put more concentration in the defence and relied on counterattacks while a well organised and composed Brikama United played with more possession and created a lot of scoring chances but was unable to score the winner.

In the 60th minute the Khaki boys midfield offensive Lamin Sima was sent off for dangerous play.

In the other Week 14 fixtures, Bakau United defeated struggling Tallinding United 1-0 at Manjai Field, thanks to Amadou Baldeh's goal in the 46th  minute of the game.
