The Gambia Red Cross Society, GRCS, has for decades been a reliable partner in responding to human sufferings of all forms.
The first-aid services and other humanitarian works being offered by the society have been recognised across the country.
During difficult moments, these young men and women do volunteering works to help alleviate the sufferings of various victims, irrespective of anything.
We use this opportunity to salute the volunteers of the Gambia Red Cross Society for their relentless services to humanity.
Their interventions in the areas of first aid, emergency response and epidemic control, blood service, water, sanitation and hygiene promotion, community-based health care, water and sanitation, as well as food security are all clear testimonies of the commitment of theGRCS to national development.
The society’s principle to helping all those in need, irrespective of who they are makes it much more recognised and relevant across the country.
The GRCS is also active when disasters strike out, thus it has become very relevant for the communities they serve.
GRCS is no doubt a major first- aid provider in The Gambia and their humanitarian commitment to help alleviate human suffering is equally noticeable.
Their young volunteers have been making significant contributions towards meeting the needs of the most vulnerable people within their local communities.
We encourage more people in the country to consider joining the humanitarian organisation, and or by equally providing them the much-needed resourses to sustain some of their services, such as first-aid.
