Amie Sowe-Mbenga, one of their most outstanding comedians with the National Drama Group commonly known as Group Garr has died last week.
Amie recently gained notoriety for her series of witty memories and has spent more than fourteen years with the group.
Speaking to Entertainment a sympathetic Oumie Samba, one of the group members, described the departure of the late Amie Sowe-Mbenga as a big blow to the group, noting that there is nobody who can fill the vacuum within the group. She went on to describe the late drama actress as an outstanding comedian who has contributed in no small measure to the development of the National Drama Group.
According to her, Amie has represented the country in so many international forums. "She was somebody who always loved the profession".
