PW2 testified that he lives in Sinchu Alhagie village, and he is a welder by profession and that he recognised the accused person.
He said on 18 October 2013, he went to his workshop and found that the door of his workshop was broken, and two of his welding machines were stolen, four welding wires and a grind.
“I went to Wellingara Police Station and reported the matter to the CID office, that they later went and visited the scene of the crime,” he said.
He added that after a month, the police went with the accused to the said workshop, and was asked by the police how he entered the shop.
The accused showed the police how he entered the workshop, he said, adding that he later went with the officers to the station where he gave a statement.
The case continues.
