The criminal case involving one Alieu BM John who is standing trial on 11-counts charges of fraud and forgery continued at the Kanifing Magistratesí Court before Magistrate Ikpalla.

Continuing his testimony, the third prosecution witness told the court that he had made comparison of exhibit P1 and P2 (the question documents).

According to him, after comparing the two, he wrote a report to that effect with regards to exhibit P1 and P2, and that he also included other documents to his report.

Asked by Prosecutor Bojang whether he could recall which documents are included in the report, he said, the specimen signature of the accused Mr. Alieu BM John and his cautionary statement.

The report was shown to him in court, which he identified and later tendered in court as exhibit without any objection by the Defence.

Under cross-examining by the Defence Counsel E M Sissoho, the witness admitted not knowing the two parties before this case. He denied chatting with the complainant at the court corridor, saying that he was given the documents for comparison.

He vehemently denied under cross examination that his report was influenced by the complainant and his fellow friends in the police.

He added that the report was not addressed to anyone in an answer to Magistrate IK Pallaís question.

The case was adjourned to 28th of October 2009.
