Taiwanese Cultural Troupe due in town

A man accused of being in possession of prohibited drug was recently arraigned at the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court.
Badou Nyassi denied the charge and was granted court bail of D300, 000 with two Gambian sureties with ID cards.
The particulars of offence stated that the accused, Badou Nyassi, on 15 January 2012, at Kanfenda, had in his possession 1kg, 340grams of suspected cannabis sativa, a prohibited drug.
The case was adjourned till 31 May 2012.
In a separate development, one Omar Salima Colley was also recently arraigned at the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court for being in possession of prohibited drug.
According to the particulars of offence, the accused, Omar Salima Colley, on 17 March 2012, at Kanfenda checkpoint, had in his possession 1 kg, 128 grams of cannabis sativa, a prohibited drug.
He was remanded in custody and the case was adjourned till 29 May 2012.
