The Kanifing
Magistrates’ Court recently remanded into custody one Sulayman Jammeh, who was
arraigned for being in possession of prohibited drugs and dealing in prohibited
drugs.
Count one of the charge sheet read that the accused, Sulayman Jammeh, on 9 August 2012, at Killy Village, in the West Coast Region, had in his possession 2kg and 820gram of cannabis sativa, a prohibited drug.
The particulars of offence on count two stated that he was found dealing in prohibited drugs, cannabis sativa, for the purpose of supply by retail or wholesale, transport or transfer.
He denied the charges and was subsequently remanded in custody.
The case was then adjourned till 13 September 2012, for hearing.
