Mrs. Yassin Njie Nyang, Arab Gambia Islamic Bank branch manager at Westfield, on2ndMarch 2009, testified at the Bundung Magistrates' Court, presided over by Magistrate B.O. Jobe, as a fifth prosecution witness in the alleged adduction case, involving two Nigerian nationals, namely Ukanwa, Ikechukwa Alias Prince Benjamin George and Fatou Sarr a Gambian.
PW5 told the court that on the 7thNovember 2008, while she was in her office at Westfield around , a gentleman came to her office with a note written by one Abdul Wadane who is working with African Muslims Agency. She stated that the 1staccused also had a cheque for D100, 000 which he attempted to cash. Stated that the accused was also holding a passport and she further told the court that she did not pay the cheque. Testifying PW5 said, "I attempt twice without success and I decided to mark the cheque and return it to the bearer. The note and the cheque were marked as exhibits. PW5 also added that she made a statement to security personnel.
The case at that juncture was adjourned to 11thMarch 2009 for continuation.
