Al Nuri Mosque to be inaugurated today

The newly built Al Nur Mosque in Brusubi, opposite the Galp fuel station at the roundabout, will be inaugurated today, Friday, January 8, 2015.

The inaugural sermon will be held at 1pm, to be led by the deputy Imam of Baddibu Salikenni, Haj Omar Ceesay.The revered Saudi-trained scholar will in the evening deliver a talk on the life and times of Prophet Muhammad and the importance of respecting ones parents in Islam.

Sidia Ceesay, the main sponsor of the mosque, said Al Nur was built for Allah’s sake as building a mosque in Islam is considered to be one of the greatest acts of Worship. He added that the mosque provides a ground for residents and business people in that bustling area to fulfill their religious obligations.

The community of Brusubi invites the President of the Republic, H.E Sheikh Prof Alhaji Dr Yahya A.J.J. Jammeh, Babili Mansa, the Vice President Aja Dr Isatou Njie-Saidy, Minister of Interior Ousman Sonko; Minister of Foreign Affairs Neneh MacDouall-Gaye; Information and Communication Infrastructure Minister Sheriff Bojang; President Supreme Islamic Council Muhammed Lamin Touray; and members of the general public.
