Ajax FC on Saturday beat AU Summit FC 1-0 to lift the 2013 Nyamina intermediate tournament title in a well fought final game played at the Gunjur Nyamina football field.
The most awaited game attracted a large crowd from Gunjur and its environs including the former president of Gunjur Youth and Sports development Association, Buba Bada Bojang, and his former executives.
The Ajax and AU Summit game has been always a tough battle with this one dominated by Ajax, who created more opportunities in the entire game.
In the 37th minute, striker Lamin Kunta netted the opening, which eventually proved to be the winner for Ajax.
At the end of the day, Ajax went home with a trophy and a cash prize of D3, 000 whilst AU Summit received D2,000 as runners-up.
