Access Bank Gambia Limited has put more smiles on the faces of its clients who were part of the activities of the bank’s monthly raffle - its 2010 end-of-the-year promo.

The eight winners of this last raffle held on Friday at the bank’s head office on Kairaba Avenue, were Musa Ismaila Drammeh, who received 2 Comium Nokia phones; Sterfen Thomas, 2 Nokia Comiun phones; Imam Bouye Gajaga, 1 Comium Nokia phone; Ousman Jobe, 1 Comium Nokia phone; Mustapha Babucarr Gassama, 1 Comium Nokia phone; Omar Tamba, 3 Samsung DVDs; Alhagie Gibbi Bah, 1 Samsung DVD; while Mustapha and Babucarr Gassama won Weekend for 2 at the Paradise Suites Hotel.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Manlafy Jammeh, Head of Commercial Banking Group3, said he was delighted that customers are patronising the bank in its effort at bringing banking closer to their doorsteps.

“This bank is here to stay. We are here to support customers to ensure their needs are addressed,” Mr Jammeh said. “The purpose of this event is to say ‘thank you’ to our customers and to show customer how delighted we are.”

Access Bank is encouraging all its clients to continue to bank with it, says Mr Jammeh, who also serves as head of the Serekunda branch. ”The more you deposit the more chances of winning you have.”

Mr Jammeh added that the deposit to qualify a customer is D7,500.

“Access Bank is very transparent and reliable in whatever they are doing,” he said, adding that their doors are always open to their customers.

Mr Jammeh also revealed that Access Bank met the minimum capital requirement of the Central Bank of The Gambia three months back.

He said the bank would like its clients to be rest assured that their bank is in good standing.

He also said the bank has a link with Access Bank in the UK, which goes to show that the bank is strong enough to take care of its customers’ transactions in and out of the Gambia. “In Access Bank everything is safe,” he added.

Access Bank recently opened a new branch in Latrikunda Sabiji, he disclosed, adding that there are plans to open another branch in Senegambia soon.

“We are here for our customers and to stay,” he assured. “We thank and appreciate our customers for patronising our bank. All what Access Bank needs is the support and cooperation of everyone in the success of our business.”

The bank’s communication officer, Mohammed Kabir, chaired the occasion graced by other senior Access Bank officials.
