Thirty-five people working at Dunes Hotel, Sunset Hotel and Ariket Hotel recently concluded a daylong training on customer service.

The training, which brought together both medium and senior staff from the three hotels, was held at the Dunes Beach Hotel, organised by the International Connect Service Limited (ICS).

Speaking in an interview with The Point shortly after the opening of the training, Olumuyiwa Eleazar Ogunmilade, the Chief Executive Officer of ICS in The Gambia described the training as very important in terms of customer service delivery.

He said ICS major areas of concentration include training, consulting, business advisory and financial service. For business advisory, Ogunmilade explained, they are trying to bring in investors from Nigeria, Sierra Leone, South Africa and Ghana.

"So we are trying to bring people here to see the beauty and to invest in the country so that this country will continue to grow," he said.

Chief Executive Ogunmilade further stated that his organisation conducts training in all the areas, such as hotel industries, government branches, as well as parastatals. He furthered noted that ICS also stands for the way services are being rendered, as well as the way people are exposed to international standards. This, training, he added, is the fourth of its kind, noting that a lot of other companies are lined up for the training before the end of the year.

Ogunmilade called on the participants to make the best use of the knowledge gained from the training, urging them to respect customer service. He commended the management of the three hotels for their collaboration.
