Three people have died in a fatal car accident in Lamin village in the West Coast Region when the car they were travelling in crashed into a Baobab tree.
The accident, which happened in the early hours of Monday morning, involved a car which was carrying people said to be heading home from a Sunday beach party.

According to eyewitnesses, the driver of the vehicle lost control in Lamin village around 4am, and eventually hit the Baobab tree.
The public relations officer of the Gambia Police Force, ASP Yerro Mballow, confirmed the story.
