Fatou Darboe of the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court recently acquitted and
discharged Sheriff Njie and Aziz Cham, after the prosecution failed to prove a
charge of attempting to commit a felony against the accused persons.
The charge sheet revealed that on 2 June 2014, at the American University, in the Kanifing Municipality, they jointly entered the building with intent to commit a felony, to wit stealing.
