I
write this tribute in loving memory of brother Deyda Hydara, after whom and
whose demise I named my child.
I
am adequately catering to ensure the young and growing Deyda emulates his
namesake.
This
is because of the truth that Deyda stood for, hence all journalists, social
commentators and orators must stick to the truth and nothing but the truth as
the truth will always prevail.
For
those of us who have chosen the path and principles of Deyda Hydara, my famous
quotation is: “The truth is not consistent with time, place or personality.’’
Therefore,
no matter whose bread is buttered, and whose toes are prodded on, the truth
must be told.
So,
for all petrified journalists, take heart and know that you are leaving a
legacy for posterity.
ENOUGH
FOOD FOR THOUGHT!
