TO ALL WHO MAY CONCERNED
Appeal for Contributions to Purchase Funeral Vans for Banjul and Kombo St. Mary Area.
Asalamu Alaikum,
Joint Appeal from The Committee of Banjul Muslim Elders and Pipeline Mosque Foundation
The Committee of Banjul Muslim Elders and The Pipeline Mosque Foundation are jointly appealing for your generous contribution to purchase two custom-built funeral vans - one for Banjul and the other for the Kombo St. Mary Area.
Dignified Transportation for the Deceased: The current state of funeral transportation in both Banjul and Kombo St. Mary Area is really unacceptable. Unfit and dilapidated old vehicles are often used to transport the deceased from the morgue to the mosque and to the cemetery, and often times these vehicles experience unexpected breakdowns. This is an undignified situation that we, as a community, should strive to improve.
We are pleased to share the good news that several individuals have already made generous contributions and others have pledged to contribute towards this noble course. One of the vans will be for Banjul and the other one for the K.M.C. area.
Procurement of Funeral Vans: The ad hoc Committee will solicit quotations from established vehicle dealers like CFAO and TK Motors to facilitate the procurement of these specialized funeral vans, and the vans will be customized thus making them fit for purpose.
Community Appeal: We are therefore extending this appeal to you - Individuals, Companies, Corporations, Institutions, and all concerned members of our society in Banjul, Kanifing and the Diaspora.
Seeking Blessings and Mercy: May Allah (SWT), in his bountiful mercy, grant us all long life in good health and well-being. May Allah (SWT), grant us in our last days in this world - righteousness and glory. May Allah (SWT) grant His mercy to the deceased and bless them with Janatul Firdausi.
In anticipation of your support and contribution, we sincerely thank you for considering our appeal. Your contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in ensuring the dignified transportation of the deceased in our communities.
