God used His Word to create and to change what He did not want to see. "Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the earth..." (Gen.1:2) Each time He declared: "Let there be ... there was." (Gen. 1:3,6,9)
As His creations, we also can speak over our circumstances to effect a change. But to this end, we would have to meditate on His word, until we own it and it becomes a part of us.
"Is not my word like fire", declares the Lord, "and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces?" (Jer. 23:29)
"For the Word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes(intents) of the heart." (Hebs. 4:12)
"Every word of God is flawless...; (Prov.30:5)
King David summarises. "The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul. The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy making wise the simple." (Ps.19:7)
The word of the Lord in our mouths becomes a weapon of warfare. It's time we engage it!
