On April 20, the turntable highway is expected to rise above nature as thousands of music lovers will rush to QCity for face-to-face connection with the world’s most talked about musician. The event is organized by HolGam, a media and technology company registered in The Gambia.
Ebrima Jatta known as Mutabaruka, one of the organizers of this event said that the event is a champion league festival taking place in The Gambia for the very first time in the history of Gambia to host a major Jaimecan dancehall super star.
“It would be a surprise package to see Tommy with his son sharing the same microphone on stage,” he said while adding that this would be one of the biggest events in The Gambia. He noted that HolGam is here to uplift the Gambia Music Industry and to create jobs for young people.
Habibu Nyang, an event organizer who works with Holgam stated that Holgam is a media and technology company registered in The Gambia. He added that having an event called the Champion League festival is going to be the maiden edition. Nyang further reiterated that the event will showcase the best entertainers in the country.
Nyang highlighted that the company is also trying to bring a lot of innovations in music and entertainment through technology.
“This is why we would rollout the digital tickets system for this event. Other than the digital tickets system, we also want to have an online radio and also set up a studio by using artificial intelligence to master songs that are produced by Gambians.
Ebrima Darboe, event planner and artist manager described the important of the event, saying that it will set the pace for the promotion and other activities like the Champion League.
