The Gambia will strive to recover in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers when qualifier matches for the global biggest football showpiece resume in March 2025.

The Scorpions currently sit second-place from bottom in Group F of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers with only 3 points after four qualifier matches.

The Gambia slipped to Burundi 3-2 in their opening qualifier match before losing to Ivory Coast 2-0 in their second qualifier match.

The Scorpions hammered Seychelles 5-1 in their third qualifier match before slipping to Gabon 3-2 in their fourth qualifier clash.

Coach Jonathan Mckinstry and his Scorpions charges must beat Kenya and Ivory Coast in their fifth and sixth qualifier matches in March 2025 to fancy their dreams of qualifying for the play-off matches of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
