The donated items include 10 footballs, 30 sets of camping jerseys, two sets of bibs and D5000.
The gesture highlighted the importance of supporting women's sports.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony held at The Gambia Immigration head quarters in Banjul, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of North Star Academy, Ebou Jarra, stated that he and his academy are encouraging more young women to pursue their passion for sports.
“Earlier this week we donated sports items to The Gambia Police Force (GPF) female team,” Jarra disclosed.
He pointed out the donated equipment would enhance the performance of The Gambia Police Force and Immigration female teams.
Jarra added that the donated items would also send powerful messages in promoting gender equality in athletics in the country, by investing in female athletes.
He revealed that the gesture would help current team members and future generations of female athletes to strive for excellence.
North Star Academy is currently based in Kerr Jatta, Niumi in the North Bank Region.
They are on the verge of building a mini stadium with artificial turf in future.
Meanwhile, North Star Academy recently donated sports items to The Gambia Police Force and Immigration teams.
North Star Academy also donated items to Darbo's FC and Fortune female team.
