Coach Sanyang was speaking to reporters shortly after his side’s 1-0 win over Red Scorpions in their week-15 rescheduled fixture played at the Late Ousman Saho Football Field in Old Yundum on Wednesday.
“We finished third-place on the league table last year. This year, we want to better a place on the league table," Coach Sanyang said.
Coach Sanyang stated that it was not easy to beat the reigning league champions.
He commended his girls for implementing their game plan.
“I advised my players to score goals and defend well,” Coach Sanyang revealed.
Reacting to goal scorer Awa K. Darboe, Coach Sanyang backed Darboe despite missing her in the first round of the league campaign.
Coach Sanyang revealed that Awa scored 4 goals in three matches for TMT FC.
For her part, Awa K. Darboe, expressed delight for scoring a goal for her team.
"If you want to be a champion, you need to beat the champions, "Darboe said.
Awa K. Darboe dedicated her goal to her mother.
“We worked very hard, so she deserved the victory,” Darboe explained.
Darboe noted that the victory came as a result of team work. She pointed out that their aim this season is to win the league title.
