Wallidan over weekend clutched their debut victory in the 2020-2021 Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Division One  League following their 2-1 win over Banjul United in their week-ten fixture played at the Real De Banjul Football Academy Field at Basori.

The Blue boys were winless in their nine opening league outings prior to their game with the Banjul based-team, who are also winless in their nine opening league clashes.

Wallidan and Banjul United were both eager to bang each other to better their status in the country’s top flight league but the blue boys sealed the vital three points after scoring two goals to pile pressure on teams above them in the league with 9 points after ten league outings.

Banjul United notched in one goal, which eventually proved to be a consolation for them.

The Banjul based-team remained bottom-place in the country’s premier tier with 4 points in ten league games.

Real De Banjul defeated Elite United 1-0 at the National Technical Training Centre in Yundum.

The city boys now gripped 18 points in ten league matches while Elite United are with 12 points after ten league encounters.
