The Gambia senior national team; the Scorpions are set to start training today, Tuesday at the Independence Stadium in Bakau ahead of their crunch 2022 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers at home to Angola on 25 March 2021, at the same venue at 4 p.m.

Coach Tom Saintfiet and his boys will use their training sessions to stretch their muscles for their crunch clash with the Angolans, who are flopping in Group D of the continent’s biggest football jamboree qualifiers.

The Scorpions require four points in their two final qualifier matches against Angola and Democratic Republic of Congo to secure qualification to the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations to be held in Cameroon.

The Gambia is currently leading Group D of the continent’s bi-annual biggest football fiesta qualifiers with 7 points after four group matches with two more matches to go before the end of the qualifiers.
