WAFU U-20 championship: Gambia to play Bissau in tricky match today

The Gambia Women's U-20 team will today, Friday, 24th May 2024, play against Guinea Bissau in their tricky encounter of the 2024 WUFU Zone A Women’s U-20 football championship at Stade Maniang Soumare.

The Gambia drew 1-1 with Mali in their second match played on Wednesday.

Red Scorpions playmaker Haddijatou Drammeh gave The Gambia Women’s U-20 team the lead in the 4th minute of the match.

Mali levelled matters in the 75th minute of the match from a long-range deflected strike to cancel Haddijatou Drammeh's fourth minute opener.

The Gambia must beat Guinea Bissau to fancy their hopes of progressing to the semi-finals. 

The Baby Scorpions lost to Senegal 2-0 in their opening match of the 2024 WAFU Zone A Women’s U-20 championship.
