UTG Student Union embraces sports symposium

The University of The Gambia Students Union (UTGSU), through its Sports Ministry, recently held a sports symposium at the University of The Gambia Campus in Kanifing.

The sports symposium brought together stakeholders and sports enthusiasts from the University and beyond.

The sports symposium was aimed at developing sports in the university and sportsmanship.

The stakeholders discussed ethical and social implications of age-cheating in African sports, sports and migration during the symposium.

The University of The Gambia Student Union (UTGSU) stated that the symposium was aimed at boosting sports in the university.

UTGSU further stated that sport is a tool for social cohesion, peace, economic and national development.

The sports symposium was graced by the Vice-Chancellor of UTG, Prof Herbert Robertson,  Minister for Youth and Sports, Bakary  Badjie, UTG Director of Sports and Recreation, Yorro Njie, UTG Director of Students' Affairs and Alumni, Dr. Habibatou Drammeh, CEO of Fact-Check Gambia, Omar Saibo Camara,  President and Vice President of the UTGSU, Nyaninka Manjang and Yunusa Mbye.
