TMT win in GFF 2nd tier league

TMT FC, Bombada and Medical all won their week-16 fixtures of the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Second Division League games played across different venues on Monday.

TMT FC defeated Young Africans 2-1 during a game played at the King George Mini Stadium in Banjul.

Bakary Ceesay opened the scoring for TMT FC in the 34th minute before Lamin Chatty doubled their lead in the 66th minute.

Modou Lamin Manneh scored the consolation goal for Young Africans in the 81st minute.

The win tentatively moved TMT at the top of the league table with 32 points after playing a game more (16) while Young Africans occupy 13th position with 16 points.

Bombada beat Jarra West 2-1 during a game played at the Box Bar Mini Stadium in Brikama.

Lamin Colley and Muhammed Tamba scored for Bombada in the 28th and 32nd minutes while Cherno Sey scored the only goal for Jarra West in the 71st minute.

The victory moved Bombada to 9th position with 20 points while Jarra West occupy 14th position with 16 points.

Medical defeated Hart FC 1-0 during a game played at the Soma Mini Stadium with Sama Jassey scoring the game’s only goal in the 90+3 minute.

The result moved Medical to 7th position with 23 points while Hart FC sit 15th position 15 points after 15 points.
