TMT, BST Galaxy win, Kuteh Jumbulu suffer fourth defeat in GFF 2nd Tier

TMT FC and BST Galaxy FC won, while Kuteh Jumbulu suffered their fourth defeat of the season during their week-six fixtures of the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Second Division League games played on Thursday.

 

TMT beat Elite United 3-0 during a game played at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium.

Yahya Ndong’s brace (two goals) and Modou Lamin Camara’s strike gave TMT FC a comfortable win against Elite United.

Newly promoted side, TMT FC collected their third win of the season, while last year’s relegated side Elite United suffered their second defeat of the season.

The victory moved TMT FC to 4th position with 11 points, leveled with Elite United, Jam City, and Immigration FC respectively.

BST Galaxy FC beat Kuteh Jombulu 1-0 during a game played at Soma Mini Stadium.

Buba Sonko scored the game’s only goal for BST Galaxy FC during the first period.

BST Galaxy, formerly Dibba Oil is one of the teams yet to lose a game this season. The win earned them their fourth victory of the season. Kuteh Jumbulu collected one win, one draw and suffered four defeats.

The result maintained BST Galaxy FC at 2nd position with 14 points, while Kuteh Jumbulu dropped to 15th position with 4 points, leveled with Tallinding United and Jarra West.

Tallinding United drew 1-1 against the Gambia Ports Authority (GPA) during a game played at the Late Ousman Saho Field in Old Yumdum.

Saidou Momodou Sanneh scored for Tallinding United in the 68th minute, while Abdou Corr leveled the game for GPA FC in the 77th minute.

The Buffer Zone boys, Tallinding United continued their poor start to the season after collecting one win, while the Ferry boys, GPA FC collected two wins.

The result maintained Tallinding United at the bottom (16th) position with 4 points, while GPA FC occupy 9th position with 8 points, leveled with Young Africans FC.
