Team Tahawal write to NSC regarding ‘malpractices’ in WFA Congress

Team Tahawal Women's Football challenged the legitimacy of the Women's Football Elective Congress held on 24 May 2025.
"Our refusal to take part in the congress was based on serious constitutional breaches and electoral code violations, which fundamentally compromised the integrity of the process," Team Tahwal Women’s Football wrote.
Team Tahawal Women’s Football has written a letter to the NSC due to unlawful composition of the Electoral Committee.
According to Team Tahawal Women’s Football, the electoral committee was illegally constituted, in violation of Article 29.2 of the Constitution, which stated that Elections shall be conducted by an electoral committee which shall be elected by the General Assembly in the AGM before the elective congress in compliance with the GFF Electoral Code.
