Team Rhino forced to draw, GAF sluggish start in 1st Division continues

Team Rhino FC were forced to their third draw of the league season, while The Gambia Armed Forces slow start to the 2023-2024 Baluwo sponsored Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Division One League campaign continued.

Team Rhino FC and The Gambia Armed Forces drew 1-1 in their week-eight fixture played at the Serrekunda East Mini-Stadium on Monday.

Modou Lamin Fofana opened the scores for The Gambia Armed Forces in the 19th minute of the match.

Team Rihno fought back for an equaliser and levelled matters through Bai Beram Njie in the 22nd minute of the match to share the spoils in the country’s Elite League.

The Nema Kukung-based team and the Khaki Boys now conceded their third draws of the league season.

Team Rhino FC, who missed the chance to move to 2nd place on the First Division League table, collected four victories, three draws and one defeat.

The draw earns Team Rhino third-place on the country’s Elite League table with 15 points, levelling with Fortune and Marimoo FC.

The Gambia Armed Forces now gathered one win, three draws and four defeats in eight league matches.

The Gambia Armed Forces occupy fourteen-place on the First Division League table with 6 points, levelling with TMT FC and Wallidan FC respectively.
