Steve Biko:  Bakau’s sanctify football team

Steve Biko Football Club is Bakau’s most blessed clubs since the inception of the team in 1978.

The Bakau giant killers won one league title in the 2012-2013 season and few FF cup crowns.

They are currently playing their trade in the country’s second tier since their demotion from the top flight season before last.

Biko, as they are mostly called, are occupying second-place from bottom in the 2019-2020 Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Second Division league standings with 10 points after fifteen league outings.

They have produced several players for different categories of Gambia national teams such as Abdoulie Bojang, Paring Jammeh, Lamin Jammeh, Kebba Bojang, Assan Camara, Babucarr Jammeh, Lamin Samateh, Abdoulie Jatta, Lamin Jatta alias Chox, Ousman Badjie alias Yanka, Ousainou Sarr, Papa Salifu Badjie and Habib Kunta.
