Sporting General Football Academy on  Saturday dazed Red Star FC 5-4 post-match penalty shootouts after regular time ended goalless in a tightly-contested final played at the Gunjur Nyamina Mini Stadium to clasp the 2025 Kombo Real Estate sponsored Gunjur Super Cup trophy.

Both sides made a slow start to the match and crafted a few goal scoring opportunities but failed to capitalise on them thus the first half ended goalless.

Upon resumption of the match, Sporting General Football Academy and Red Star FC both picked up where they left in the first half and piled pressure on each other, creating goal scoring opportunities but failed to materialise on them thus the match ended goalless.

This pushed the match into penalty shootouts, which ended 5-4 in favour of Sporting General Football Academy.

As champions, Sporting General Football Academy  were decorated with a giant trophy, medals and a cash prize of D20,000 while Red Star FC received medals and D15,000 as runners-up.

The Super Cup final marked the curtain rasiser of the 2025\2026 Gunjur 'nawettan' season.
