Kabba Bajo presides over closing ceremony of FIFA, GFF Referees Assessors course

The President of the Gambia Football Federation (GFF), Lamin Kaba Bajo, on Friday 2025 presided over the closing ceremony of the FIFA/GFF Referees Assessors course at the National Technical Training Centre (NTTC) in Old Yundum.

The five-day course brought together 29 participants from across the seven Regions to enhance their knowledge and understanding of their roles in guiding and assessing match referees.

In his closing remarks, President Bajo extended immense gratitude to FIFA and CAF, as well as to the course director, Gladys Lengwe, for the successful completion of the program.

Bajo noted that the GFF, under his leadership, is always grateful to FIFA for the continued support of his Executive's football initiatives.

He reaffirmed Football House’s commitment to enhancing the knowledge of technicians in the Gambia, particularly referees and referee assessors.

Bajo congratulated the participants for their cooperation throughout the course.

He felicitated the course Director, Gladys Lengwe from Zambia, for the knowledge she imparted to the referees and assessors.

 Bajo thanked the former FIFA referee for her commitment and dedication and promised that the knowledge gained would be fully utilised in the forthcoming League Season.

Local instructor, Dikory Jawo,  thanked the GFF through President Bajo for the continued support in developing the capacity of referees.

Jawo also thanked the course director for her patience and interaction with the participants throughout the course period.

Speaking on behalf of his colleagues, Alhagie Sanneh, thanked the GFF for their laudable initiative to increase the capacity of referee assessors.

Sanneh congratulated his colleagues for completing the course and urged them to utilise the knowledge gained positively during their assignments.
