SK East to start knockout tournament tomorrow

The Serrekunda East Sports Development Organisation (SESDO) will tomorrow, Friday 6th September 2023 commence its 2023 nawettan knockout competition after the balloting for the championship was held recently.

The first round of the tournament will see struggling sides as well as already relegated and eliminated teams in the league cup group stage facing each other, while group leaders and second position occupants in the league cup will be featured in the second round of the tournament.

The weekend's first two fixtures will feature four of the already eliminated sides from their league cup groups.

Casa United will take on Milan FC in the first encounter on Friday. The Bundung-based team Casa got eliminated in their Group B after collecting 4 points in four matches, while Milan FC of Tallinding have a worst tournament in the league cup after collecting zero points in their Group C after four games.

LN Border Bii will entertain BB Rovers in the second Friday match. LN Border Bii crashed out of the league cup tournament accumulating 3 points in four group games in Group D, while BB Rovers collected 2 points in four Group D games.

In the other fixtures

On Saturday, Old Hands will be battling it out against the bottom team in Group 5 (which is yet to be decided) at 3 p.m., while Falcons will play against London United at 5 p.m.

LK United will play against the bottom team in Group F (which is yet to be decided) at 3 p.m., while Group F bottom team will take on Gohh Bii at 5 p.m. on Sunday.

The final games of the first round will be completed on Tuesday, when Jola Kunda take on the bottom team in Group 4 (which is yet to be decided) at 3 p.m., before D.B.O. play against Wah Sa Halat at 5 p.m.
