The Sports Journalists’ Association of The Gambia (SJAG) has appointed its Awards Committee ahead of the 2027 SJAG Award Ceremony.
SJAG Annual Award Ceremony is set for April 2027.
Veteran journalist Sara Camara will chair the committee, which brings together experienced professionals from the media and sporting community to lead preparations for the awards.
Celebrating excellence in Gambian sports will be at the core of the awards, recognising outstanding achievements, performances and contributions across the country’s sporting landscape.
The committee will be responsible for developing the awards framework, including the categories, nomination process and selection criteria, while ensuring that the overall process is fair, transparent and credible.
SJAG leadership looks forward to working with the committee as it develops a fitting platform to recognise and celebrate those making significant contributions to the growth and development of sports in The Gambia.
Further details on the awards will be announced following the committee’s deliberations.
